This year, on Sunday, November 2nd, I’ll be running the TCS New York City Marathon—a dream I’ve had for many years and a gift to myself in celebration of my 50th birthday.
But more than just fulfilling a personal goal, I’m running to support a cause that means a great deal to me: Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Shaare Zedek treats over 1.2 million patients each year, including more than 100,000 children. As a 1,000-bed facility, it’s known not only for providing compassionate, world-class care but also for pioneering cutting-edge medical research and technological innovation.
The hospital delivers over 20,000 babies annually—more than triple the number born in most hospitals—and serves as Jerusalem’s most active Trauma and Emergency Center, including the majority of victims from terror attacks in the city.
Known as the “Hospital with a Heart,” Shaare Zedek has played a vital role in the current war effort, working around the clock to treat the wounded with extraordinary compassion. To date, more than 1,500 injured soldiers have received care at the hospital, and over 500 people have been treated in its mental health emergency unit. Their unwavering commitment to healing—in body and spirit—is both inspiring and deeply moving.
I’m proud to run in support of Shaare Zedek. I would be honored if you joined me in supporting this extraordinary institution.
Every donation, large or small, makes a difference. All contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
Thank you for your support!
With gratitude,
Iwan Nassimi
