As Maya celebrates becoming a Bat Mitzvah, please join her in supporting the Pediatric Pet Therapy program at the Wilf Children’s Hospital at  Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Shaare Zedek was the first hospital in Israel to invest in keeping therapy animals onsite, in order to minimize the possibility of allergens riding in on non-human visitors. Today, the highly successful program, headed by Animal-Assisted Psychotherapist Hemda Didovski, is considered “a noteworthy example of best practice in animal-assisted therapy,” according to an independent case study by a British therapist who is investigating best practices from around the world in the field of animal-assisted therapy.
