Zev Marcus was born and raised in Los Angeles and came to New York to study accounting at Yeshiva University, where he is currently a senior. Zev first became involved with the College Bowl-a-thon three years ago, and in his second year decided to raise awareness for Shaare Zedek back home by starting an annual basketball tournament. With the proceeds from that fundraiser and his efforts in NY, Zev led his team to raise $10,000, and won first place in the 2018 College Bowl-a-thon. He continued to show his dedication and commitment in 2019 both by becoming a co-chair of the College Board and coordinating the second annual basketball tournament fundraiser in LA. Zev’s positive outlook and drive helped motivate the college teams towards success.
