At a meeting of the National Board on September 18th, Rachel Wolf was unanimously appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Committee for Shaare Zedek. Rachel has worked for the American Committee since 2002 in various capacities, including as our Chief Operating Officer for the last two years, the Director of Special Projects and Director of Operations. In her tenure with the organization, Rachel has combined her deep commitment to Shaare Zedek with her passion for creativity, technology and personalizing the donor experience with the Hospital.
American Committee President Murray Laulicht said, “During her many years with the American Committee, Rachel has demonstrated exceptional dedication, determination and ingenuity in support of our vital mission. Blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and amazing technological prowess, Rachel has been a most effective leader, ready to travel anywhere and meet anyone who has the potential of helping Shaare Zedek.”
Menno Ratzker, Chair of the Board further stated, “I have had the great pleasure of working closely with Rachel during her tenure with the Hospital and I am proud of the professional she has become. The Board looks forward to working together with her for the betterment of Shaare Zedek for many years to come.”
Rachel was graduated from Barnard College with a BA in Psychology and is a longtime resident of the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Before joining the American Committee family, Rachel served as the Associate Director of Public Relations at the Orthodox Union. Rachel is very active in her synagogue, The Jewish Center and serves as the Director of Creative and Technical Services for VIP Passover. In August of 2012, Rachel married Andrew Borodach, Managing Director of Investments at AIG.
